Summary | 0015119: Point Sprite Plugin does not read values from data array for setting radius
Description | when loading particle data and visualising them with the point sprite plugin i am only able to set the radius as constant. using the "radius" array inside the data file (which is read in correctly) does not set these values in the Transformation function. Maybe this bug is related to the bug number 0015017. Setting the point sprite color does not work eighter.
Steps To Reproduce | Load point data in attached file. Select "Point Sprite" Representation. Choose "Scale By" radius. Open "Edit Radius Transfer Function". You will see that the extends of the data are not imported into the Representation, thus there is no proper representation. Set solid color: Does work sometimes...

Rouven, I agree with the fact that the "Use Scalar Range" of the "Radius and Opacity Editor" dialog is broken as it does no report correct data array ranges. However, in the file you provide, the radius array is constant (all points have a 0.0175 radius) - so obviously you will always obtain a constant sized representation. Best, Joachim |
