When you run ccmake, if you look at the bottom of the screen you'll see a short description of each flag.
Specifically, the VTK_USE_HYBRID flag enables compilation of the
"vtkHybrid" library. What is the vtkHybrid library, you ask? It's
the library that contains all of this:
http://public.kitware.com/cgi-bin/viewcvs.cgi/Hybrid/ Basically,
most of the 2d/3d hybrid filters/widgets.

On 6/9/05, Peter G Carswell <pete@osc.edu> wrote:

I was wondering what some of the flag's settings did? Some are clear,
i.e. the CXX flags, or the paths-to flags or the path to a library. I
was wondering if there was any documentation describing what the
different settings accomplish? Say, 'Hybrid ON'. I do have both texts,
and I might have overlooked any entry in those texts. But I have been
looking for a description.

Thanks.
pete

--
Peter G. Carswell
The Ohio Supercomputer Center
