Other tools in the g3 package generate and convert various formats. The latest version is available from the svn repository. It is current with
VTK 5 and netCDF 3.6.1. <br><br>g3 has been tested on SuSE Linux 10.0. People at Boulder have ported earlier versions to Mac. A researcher in Beijing has not yet reported total Mac success with the latest g3 version , but he did get all the tools to compile and run.<br><br>I am responsible for the source code that you may be interested in. The netCDF format is a fundamental part of Generic Mapping Tools (GMT) (<a rel="nofollow" target="_blank" href="http://gmt.soest.hawaii.edu/%29">http://gmt.soest.hawaii.edu/)</a> and widely used in geophysics, so it would be useful to be able to load up single or multiple netCDF grids into VTK for use in volume rendering and generation of isosurfaces.</font></span></div>
