If you surface is closed, you can use vtkMassProperties. It computes the volume via integration (thrice, just for accuracy)

--
karthik

On 3/10/08, Alam, Mohammed <malam@med.wayne.edu> wrote:

Hi All,

I have a 3D VTK object file with CELLS and POINTS which is made from
segmenting DICOM images. How can I calculate the volume of such an
object? What information would I need (eg: voxel size, Pixel Spacing,
slice spacing?)

Best Regards
Alam

_______________________________________________
This is the private VTK discussion list.
Please keep messages on-topic. Check the FAQ at: http://www.vtk.org/Wiki/VTK_FAQ
