Dear All,<div><br></div><div>i have a problem when i install vtk using Kitware binary installer</div><div>after installation, i set the environment variable TCLLIBPATH to "C:/Program Files/VTK 5.8.0/lib/vtk-5.8"</div>
<div>where there is a pkgIndex.tcl. but the error is still there.</div><div><br></div><div>then i did something in tclsh</div><div><div>% source cone.tcl</div><div>can't find package vtk</div><div>% source {C:\Program Files\VTK 5.8.0\lib\vtk-5.8\pkgIndex.tcl}</div>
<div>% source cone.tcl</div><div>couldn't load library "C:/Program Files/VTK 5.8.0/bin/vtkCommonTCL.dll": this library or a dependent library could not be found in library path</div><div>attempt to provide package vtkCommonTCL 5.8 failed: no version of package vtkCommonTCL provided</div>
<div>attempt to provide package vtkcommon 5.8 failed: no version of package vtkcommon provided</div><div>attempt to provide package vtk 5.8 failed: no version of package vtk provided</div></div><div><br></div><div>it seems that the kitware's binary installer does not contain any .dll file needed.</div>
<div><br></div><div>so can someone tell me a way that run vtk's tcl code in tclsh rather run it using vtk.exe</div><div>when developers use kitware's binary installer?</div><div><br></div><div>i have no problem to compile VTK from source and run vtk's tcl codes using tclsh though</div>
<div><br></div><div>one thing need to confirm is that... if users choose to use kitware's binary install, they HAVE TO</div><div>use vtk.exe to run vtk's tcl code?</div><div><br></div><div>it is an old topic but i still want to know in detail. if anyone knows what exactly to do, please</div>
