Thomas,<div><br></div><div>vtkMaskPoints::MaximumNumberOfPoints is being set to VTK_LARGE_ID in the constructor of vtkMaskPoints. So its default value is indeed expected to be large. The real issue seems to be that the code in your filter's RequestData() where the MaximumNumberOfPoints is set to 5000 doesn't get called. It's hard to say why it's not being called at all. </div>
