Summary0010666: Error always reported when plugin required on client and server
DescriptionConnect to a server and then bring up the plugin manager. Load a plugin on the client that requires the same plugin to be loaded on the server (such as the SLACTools plugin). The plugin manager reports an error because the paired plugin is not loaded on the server. This is the correct behavior. However, now load the same plugin on the server side. After that plugin is loaded the error on the client should go away. Instead the client plugin error persists and the server plugin also reports an error about the plugin missing on the client (huh?).

Even if both plugins are marked as auto load, you still get these errors.

I forgot to mention: even though both plugins report an error, they function just fine as far as I can tell.

I cannot reproduce the bug on my system. I ran the server with remote rendering, loaded SurfaceLIC plugin 1st on local and then on remote. Also in second trial load the plugin on remote then on the local. On both occasions "Error" disappeared as soon as the other side loaded the plugin.

Nope. I'm still getting this issue. I've attached a movie demonstrating the issue on a build I made this morning.

Perhaps this is a Mac issue...

I was able to reproduce the bug on Mac Mini. We will wait for the original author of the code and will have a look at the bug again.

BUG 0010666 Fixed client/server plugins not showing correct load status.

The plugins when being loaded on client and server where checking based on full filepaths rather than by plugin name.

Tested remote server, windows client, trunk. Used Point Sprite.
