 Although I believe this one is fairly hard, I am marking it todo. I believe it is hard because only the reader has this information. This would be very, very useful to debug datasets and upstream simulation codes.

 This has been implemented. Sweet! It's listed as Generate File Id Array on the Properties panel.

Tested 5.1.1, remote server, Linux.
