Summary0012267: Interaction change in x-y plot charts
DescriptionThe buttons used to interact with X-Y plots (such as for the output of Plot Over Line) changed at some point (perhaps a while ago). It used to be that the left button scrolled, the middle button did a continuous zoom, and the right button did a rubber-band zoom. The left button still scrolls, but now the middle button does the rubber-band zoom and the right button creates a box but does nothing of value.

I'm not married to the previous button choices, but the replacement seems worse. Can we restore the previous dragging behavior?

 The current configuration has,

Left - pan/scroll
Middle - rubber band zoom
Middle wheel - continuous zoom in/out
Right - rubber band selection

The chart API lets you customize these, as we add more selection I think that should be kept. There could be chart modes though too if you would rather see that (selection mode, interaction mode) and the old mapping could be restored in the interaction mode.

If you don't find the current set up useful I can change things around. It has been like this since ~ParaView 3.6 when we switched to the new charts.

 Plot interactions were updated for 4.1. I'm marking this resolved since this relates to the old plot interactions.
