| Summary | 0012548: Table To Structured Grid bugs with x y z, but works as x z y? | ||||||||
| Description | I have windtunnel data in a table in a csv file. The data contains x, y, z coordinates in each row with some scalar values in other columns. After selecting x as x and y as y and z as z and defining the grid size it outputs a saw-toothed edged plane with the data all distorted. However, when I specify y as z and z as y it works but of course my data is off 90 degrees so I then apply a transform filter to it. Why is this happening? Seems odd. Is there a particular requirement in the order of my data for it to work correctly with x as x, y as y and z as z??? | ||||||||

Alex, the data in the attached CSV file looks like it is missing some points(I have attached an image showing the output of the TableToPointsFilter). Is it a structured grid? If yes, what is the XYZ extent you enter for the TableToStructuredGrid Filter? |
