Summary0012859: progress events at high scale
DescriptionAlthough there is a #define in vtkProgressHandler.cxx which allows one to disable progress events entirely. It would be nice if they were disabled automatically on anything larger than 256 processes.

Running in situ I see a small spike starting at 512 processes which grows roughly linear with core count above that.

 We no longer collect progress events from satellites when running in parallel (refer to BUG 0013839). As a result this is not longer relevant.
