| Summary | 0005321: VTK needs better DICOM file support (use GDCM?) | ||||||||
| Description | VTK is able to read DICOM files, but its support is weak. Evidence: - many mailing list posts complain that some DICOM files cannot be read - the VTK FAQ even hints to VTK's support not being very good: <http://www.vtk.org/Wiki/VTK_FAQ#How_can_I_read_DICOM_files_.3F> [^] ITK has pretty good DICOM support, via GDCM I believe. Surely that code can be shared between VTK and ITK? | ||||||||
