| Summary | 0008251: Coincident labels |
| Description | When point labels are turned on and several points are coincident but have different labels, then either (1) multiple labels are rendered on top of each other so that none are legible or (2) a single label is rendered but there is no indication to the user that other labels for that point exist.
Coincident label anchors should be detected and perturbed. When the associated label is rendered, an arc between the original (unperturbed) and perturbed point should be drawn. |
| Additional Information | Although a good bit of work has already been done to detect and resolve coincident labels, it is not in wide use yet. Don't close this bug until the default labeler for graphs handles coincident labels. |
