Summary

0009730: vtkExodusIIWriter should split up files into 2 GB chunks on 32-bit platforms

Description

When converting a big enough file series by means of VTK's vtkExodusIIWriter class, it would be nice if the writer would automatically detect that the generated file gets close to the 2 GB file size limit and before it does creates a new file.

Current behavior in CVS HEAD is a follows:

ERROR: ParaView3/VTK/Parallel/vtkExodusIIWriter.cxx, line 2799
vtkExodusIIWriter (<...>): vtkExodusIIWriter::WriteNextTimeStep time step values fid <XX> ts <YY> tsv <ZZ>
