| Summary | 0009814: Paraview crashes when a vtp file with no geometry is loaded |
| Description | If a user creates an invalid vtp file (a cell but no geometry) and attempts to load it in Paraview, a crash results. Attached is an example file.
Typically this means the VTK filter needs to be modified to produce an error, but is there any way Paraview could catch things like this more automatically? Even a non-descriptive "the filter has failed" type of error would be much better than the program actually crashing. |
